Susanis are bridal embroideries from Uzbekistan. According to size they can be used framed as wall décor or as bed Covers. Suzani – the word comes from the Persian word sozan meaning needle and refers to embroideries on cotton fabrics. Its birthplace is today’s Uzbekistan. The intricate designs are characteristic of Moslem textile art. The colors can be influenced by todays fashion and taste, however the tradition lives on.
